Campus Minister

Rob Coulston began as the lay chaplain at St. Augustine’s Chapel, the Episcopal and Lutheran Campus Ministry at UK in September 2017.  Rob is a Kentucky native who grew up in Lexington and attends St. Michael’s Episcopal Church. A 2008 graduate from UK, he majored in German literature and minored in Hebrew and Jewish studies. Since graduating, he has built an impressive and eclectic resume, including work as an 8th grade English teacher in South Carolina, an environmental education teacher in Eastern Kentucky, a youth minister in two churches, and a community development coordinator. He also served as an intern at an Episcopal monastery, the Society of St. John the Evangelist, in Massachusetts for a year. Immediately before coming to St. Augustine’s he was a full-time baker in Midway, Kentucky and he is married to Melissa, who works as a librarian.
