Thy Kingdom Come, DioLex edition Day 9

Today is the final day of Thy Kingdom Come in the Diocese of Lexington. I hope you have heard God’s call and that God’s call has prepared you for our coming discernment and loving service in Eastern Kentucky. Grace and peace be with you.

Read…the text with an open mind…then, read it a second time.
Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.”.…John 8:12

Look…at the scene in the reading.
Let your curiosity look for God at work in the people and their interactions.

Wait…in prayerful expectation.

Listen…for a word with a willing heart…
O God, you have made of one blood all the peoples of the earth, and sent your blessed Son to preach peace to those who are far off and to those who are near: Grant that people everywhere may seek after you and find you, bring the nations into your fold, pour out your Spirit upon all flesh, and hasten the coming of your kingdom; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Respond…seeking clarity and vision to the question…
How might our Diocese influence the peace and well-being of communities? What kind of public presence does our Diocese currently have, and what kind of presence might God be calling us to?
