I have been working for the last several weeks to decide how to be better present on campus and also keep the Chapel doors open as much as possible. To that end, I will have “Office Hours” out on campus for a couple of hours each day either at a local coffee shop or hang out, or while the weather is nice, in a public area where I can be available to students, faculty, and staff.
The Chapel’s hours will be shortened a bit each day but in the long term I think this change will allow St. A’s to reach more people on UK’s campus. The plan is to spend mornings on campus and keep the Chapel open into the early evening. Beginning on Monday, September 24th, the Chapel’s hours will be:
Sunday: 2 – 9 PM
Monday: 12 – 6 PM
Tuesday: 12 – 6 PM
Wednesday: 10 AM – 12 PM and 2 – 6 PM
Thursday: 2 – 6 PM
Of course, these times are always subject to change based on the real life needs of the people engaged with the ministry and also on any meetings I need to be at. Also, I’m hoping to have a few Chapel Attendants in the near future so maybe we can expand our hours again. Also, we will be discontinuing Monday Morning Prayer at 8:30 AM.
