The world feels broken. There’s no denying it. Our body politic feels broken. Our religious institutions feel broken. The climate is broken. I’m tired for sure. A lot of folks are tired. So I’m not actually going to write too much today. What I will say, is that if you’re tired and need rest, you’re always welcome at St. A’s. We are seeking God’s silence, God’s rest, and God’s refreshment together everyday. You’re invited here. You belong here. But even if you don’t come to hang with us, find a way to rest your soul and keep up your effort. Keep struggling.
I really like John Green. If you don’t know him, here’s his Wikipedia. He and his brother make a video every Tuesday and Friday for each other and their community. Yesterday’s video from John was really encouraging to me and I hope it helps you too.
