More than enough ink has been spilled by myself and others about Jesus’ Resurrection. I will share with you the text of an Orthodox hymn that is sung a lot during the Easter season. (Quick aside: Easter isn’t a one day event in our Church, it is a 50 day celebration. Make it awesome!):
Christ is risen from the dead,
trampling death by death,
and to those in the tombs
granting life!
This hymn is one of my favorites because it makes me think about all the times in my life I’ve been in the tomb and Christ has granted me life. Resurrection is about this life, not what happens after we die. Christ is risen. Alleluia!
