This past Saturday, there was a bombing in Mogadishu, Somalia that killed over 300 people. Our hearts are broken for the Somali people who have endured so much and we pray for all those killed, wounded, or whose spirits are broken by this attack. Waxaan ahay Soomaali (I am Somali). Waxaan nahay Soomaali (We are Somalis).
Father of all, we pray to you for those killed in Somalia, and for all those whom we love but see no longer. Grant to them eternal rest. Let light perpetual shine upon them. May their souls and the souls of all the departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
